R. David Larrick, 79, passed away on November 30, 2025, in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Born on November 23, 1946, David dedicated his life to education and the classical languages. He taught Latin and Greek at Albemarle High School and Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC), sharing his passion for ancient cultures with generations of students.

He is survived by his wife, Judith M. Larrick, in Charlottesville; his son, Rollin L. Larrick, daughter-in-law Melissa S. Larrick, and two granddaughters at Lake Monticello. He is also remembered by his sisters Joyce Larrick Casey and Joan Larrick Lewis of Winchester, Virginia; brother-in-law Howard P. Lewis; and nephews Joshua M. Lewis and Dr. Cameron P. Lewis.

All services will be private.

In remembrance of David’s life and legacy, contributions may be made to the Area Food Bank.
